How to Ensure a Long Season of Bloom
To extend the peony show, plant varieties that bloom at different times during season, which generally runs from late spring to early summer. Peonies are categorized as early, mid- and late-bloomers. By choosing some from each category, you'll have flowers for several weeks. Here are examples of peonies from each of the three bloom seasons.
Note: Tree peonies (not included on this list) start blooming a little before the first regular (herbaceous) peonies.
