Fragrant
Catching the sweet fragrance of flowers on the spring or summer air is a delight and adds so much to the garden experience. Many gardens plant fragrant flowering shrubs, perennials or flower bulbs near walkways and entrances to welcome garden visitors. Cutting fragrant flowers, such as lilies, peonies and roses, and displaying them indoors can perfume a room with natural, fresh floral scent. Fragrant plants also may attract valuable bees and butterflies to the garden. When buying fragrant plants for sale, make sure they are suitable for your grow zone. Other factors to consider are sunlight requirements, soil requirements, mature height and spread, flower color and bloom times.
