Terms and Conditions of Use


Your purchase price will be refunded on orders returned with proper postage affixed within 14 days of receipt.  If, for any reason, your merchandise does not live, please notify us within 6 months for product received between Jan.1-July 31 and 10 months for product received between Aug. 1-Dec. 31 and we will replace the product one time free of charge.

Not responsible for incidental and consequential damages; we are not responsible for any amount exceeding purchase price (exclusive of shipping and processing).


OUR CANCELLATION POLICY:  Only cancellation requests received on the same day your order is received are guaranteed to be honored.  All other cancellation requests must be in writing, but will not be honored if in our judgement the order is irretrievably in process.  Be sure to include your name and address with your request.  We appreciate your understanding.


OUR SUBSTITUTION POLICY:  Orders are filled by item number exactly as received.  If an item/variety is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute an item of equal or greater value.


SHIPPING POLICY:  Because we inspect, hand select and hand wrap every plant to ensure the highest quality product and the safest shipping, it typically takes 2-4 weeks to process your order.  However, please keep in mind that an order may ship out later depending on availability of plant material, weather conditions, and appropriate planting times.  Therefore, we are not able to guarantee delivery within a certain time frame or on a certain date.  Also, many of our plants and trees are shipped in a dormant condition.  Soak overnight in water before planting.  In general, dormant items can be planted anytime your ground is not frozen.  A late snow or frost will not harm a nursery stock item that is already dormant.  On the other hand, these items can also be planted during warm weather--simply be sure to water well.  Potted perennials can be planted outside any time after your last frost until your ground has frozen solid for the winter. 


ZONES OF HARDINESS:  Zone designations are approximate. Many plants can be grown in one zone “colder” than rated by placing in a protected location or by proper winter care (such as mulching). Just try to think of  a spot in your landscape that is a little more protected.


WHOLESALE POLICY:  Our catalog is not for wholesale use. Our warranty does not cover products that are intended for resale. Contact us directly for large quantity pricing and terms.


ILLUSTRATIONS:  The pictures are of mature plants in the best condition. With proper care, the young plants you buy can and should resemble catalog illustrations when they reach maturity.


RETURN CHECK POLICY:  All returned checks are subject to the state allowable service fee. Returned checks may be electronically debited for the full face value of the check and the state allowable service fee.


OUR PRODUCTS:  We may ship product in a variety of ways such as dormant and bareroot, rhizomes, bulbs, plugs, or in a variety of pots depending on the grower, time of year, type of product, etc.
