Yellowroot
Yellowroot
Native to the Eastern US, this shrubby spreading plant makes an excellent groundcover for naturalized areas under trees and on shady stream banks. It is adaptable to just about any soil including clay and will grow in wet soils as well. Blooms are small dangling maroon clusters in mid to late Spring. Fall foliage is spectacular.
